Whooping Cough

Whooping cough is a chemical reaction that causes the coughee to whoop uncontrollably. The only known cure is to drink an entire bottle of whiskey, but this must be done almost immediately. This is why :
A) Alcoholics are immune to whooping cough
B) Children cannot be legally cured (except in Switzerland)
