Thames
The river Thames (pron. 'Temmes') is notorious for its size and murky brown waters. Various attempts have been made to clean up the river, and the latest effort has seen excellent results, with clearer, greener water. Critics, however, have pointed out that this co-incides precisely with the relocation of the nearby Bisto, Oxo and Marmite factories to other parts of the country.
