Submarine

Submarines are just boats that haven't passed the water tight test. When a boat is launched it will either sink or float. if it sinks then it is quickly filled with mariners who have been fed nothing but baked beans for 4 years. This can aid the submarine to float for short periods, while the mariners grab a breath of fresh air. Hence Sub (below standard) Marines (baked bean eating seamen). never smoke on a submarine as this is deemed to be bad luck for the voyage.
