Soup; The Origins

First seen in the middle of the indian ocean, soup was made from left overs of a pirate attack on a rare breed of basking shark. The now extinct species would excrete a sloppy substance from a blow hole on a hump-back whale. (How this feat was accomplished eludes the best marine biologists to this day) After this savage attack there was a hot sloppy substance left floating on the sea, which the parched pirates began consuming, and are still trying to re-create to this day, as far as rumour goes the closest is cream of mushroom soup, hence it's random popularity.
