Sombrero Theft
During the mid-nineties, a spate of sombrero thefts occured in the town of Gwent in Wales. Roughly 112,300 of the large hats which are part of the towns traditional goat herding apparel, went missing over a period of 2 weeks only to be recovered after off-duty Sgt Cordelia Timms stumbled accross all of the missing headwear in a morrisons carrier bag behind a bush in a well known local gay cruising haunt. "I was just taking 'Justin' my pekinese for a stroll when I felt something strange beneath me" he said effeminately, and the hats were swiftly reunited with the distraught owners.
The culprit was later found to be a short man.
