Smashing Pumpkins

At the height of their career the Smashing Pumpkins were causing millions of pounds of damage to US pumpkin crops, leading up to what is now referred to as "Black thanksgiving" where pumpkin prices skyrocketed and put thousands of ordinary homes out of business.

Sadly, though they were caught soon afterwards, pumpkin production never recovered. All pumkins eaten in America today are made from wax.
