Shrove Tuesday
Shrove Tuesday is the traditional Christian festival held on the 4th week of the first month which is a prime number each year. Observers of Shrove tuesday follow various customs, but central to all is a gathering of close family into a communal room to sit in silence for 24 hours. Some customs allow sighing or gentle weeping, while stricter adherents prohibit any movement, and self-defecation is common.
