Root Beer

Root beer is responsible for the closure of all Kwik Save stores. The company invested heavily in root beer, seeing a potential gap in the market. Unfortunately the value of root beer stock plummeted after performing badly on the stock market, in what is now referred to as "brown Tuesday".

With shockwaves of the root beer crash reverberating around the world, Kwik Saves board of directors decided against a reshuffle, and elected to keep the Managing Director, Keith Lies, in his position. Unfortunately, Lies broke down, preferring to sit in an unfurnished flat with only a matress on the floor, drinking root beer.

The root beer market has never entirely recovered in the UK, with Dandelion and Burdock being seen as a safer investment alternative.
