Poptarts, the sugary breakfast choice of thousands of hyperactive/diabetic children, was actually invented by a man.

Notorious drunkard Albert Nepwich had a brief stint at a Kellogs warehouse in 1989, and after being woken one day by his supervisor, became enraged and threw his flattened clingfilm wrapped jam sandwich from his back pocket at the man.

The supervisor died, and the squashed sandwich was admitted as evidence, where it was assumed that it was a prototype snack intended for toasting.
