Play-Doh

In 1984, a batch of Play-Doh was recalled when it was found that the tubs contained C4, a plastic explosive rather than harmless Play-Doh. All but one tub were recalled successfully, although controlled explosions were carried out on a school display in Wembley.

A spokesman for Play-Doh refused to comment as to the circumstances leading to the mix-up.
