An artist once painted himself into the corner of a room in Buckingham palace. So lifelike was the image, that guards thought it was a genuine intruder and evacuated the palace. 8 Hours later, with negotiations going nowhere, the anti-terrorism unit of the firebrigade stormed the room, demolishing a large part of the wall.

This is where we get the saying 'frieze motherfucker'.
