When encountering an enemy, the single best way of safely dispatching them, is with a karate chop. This means that if you were momentarily mistaken, the karate chop will have disabled them without permenant injury, but if the threat was genuine, you have left them in no doubt of your abilities.
It is important to note here the difference between a karate chop, and a judo chop; A karate chop is where you bring the side of a stiff, flattened hand down vertically onto the point joining your opponents neck to their shoulder, accompanied by the phrase 'Katate -CHOP!'.
A judo chop is where you bring the side of a stiff, flattened hand down vertically onto the point joining your opponents neck to their shoulder, accompanied by the phrase 'Judo -CHOP!'.
As you can see they are disimilar. A judo chop is lethal, and should never be used.
