Honeymoon
The term 'honeymoon' comes from a traditional English post-wedding game where the father of the bride tries to pour honey over the moon. This requires a very long ladder and has resulted in several people going blind from poorly poured honey.
Nowadays the brides father will throw a jar of honey at the moon, thus escaping the lengthy ladder climb that took several weeks.
No-one has ever won a honeymoon.
