Heartbeat

The television program 'Heartbeat' was cancelled after its first season when the entire cast caught whooping cough and died.
Due to extrordinary public demand the series was rescheduled and still runs to this day.
The second series to the present uses re-edited scenes from the first series and is dubbed over in parts, whereas two of the original cast, Greengrass the hobo and Nick 'Nick Berry' Berry the policemen had their graves interred and their corpses re-animated via strings and electronics without and noticable difference in acting ability.
