Granary
There are few traditional granaries left in the UK, forcing many grandmothers to learn by teaching themselves. Uptake of knitting, bingo, sucking eggs and particularly advanced skills such as caravanning, are falling by the wayside in deference to television. Many believe that the Grandma/Nan ratio will be tipped into the Nan's favour in the next 5 years, for the first time since the post war 1940's.
