Flightless Birds

diggFurldel.icio.usFacebook

As any ornithologist worth his salt will tell you, birds such as the Ostrich and Penguin are not actually flightless. Despite being fully capable of flight, they choose not to as they believe that at heights of more than 1.9 metres air contains traces of nuts which may aggrevate an allergy.

Due to this, some birds have developed habits of diving into water or burying their heads underground to avoid air.
