Fare Dodging
Fare-dodging is now illegal in Britain. A lack of conductors is blamed, however the dangerous aspect has been cited by many former conductors as a large reason for retirement. Conducters could contract serious injuries whilst gamely dodging the coins thrown by bus passengers. This is in no way helped by the massive increases hikes in the cost of bus travel - a weeks bus journeys now costing the same as a small house in Pembrookshire - and the huge amounts of fares conductors might be expected to avoid.
