Evaporation

The Armed Forces have a long running feud with meteorologists. This stems from the fact that weathermen tend to shorten the word evaporation to "evap", which sounds similar to the abbreviation of evacuation (evac) used by the military.

This predicament was exacerbated recently when a U.S. deployment was withdrawn from an area of Afghanistan after reports of high humidity.
