Doctor, Doctor jokes pre-date modern medicine by tens of thousands of years. Cave paintings in South-West England have revealed that "Medicine-man, Medicine-man" jokes were in common circulation up until the beginning of the ice age where upon jokes about snow dominated the comedic scene.
