Dead Mans Hand
The 'dead mans hand' refers to the cards 'Wild Bill' Hickock was holding when he was murdered playing poker. However the name 'dead mans hand' at the time, referred to a game, whereby a deck was marked by crudely drawn penises. If a player happened to draw a hand of four or more marked cards, the custom of the game was to shoot that player, and divide his winnings between the remaining players. This principle later led to the inclusion of zero on a roulette wheel.
