Carpets
The carpet was invented as a direct result of the mass production of the automobile. Realising that it would be an immense inconvinence to travel in the vehicle with a pet, a specially designed automobile pet was developed by Ford. This was soon joined by Mercedes autopet, and Daimlers car-pet. The second model of the car-pet was hugely successful, not because of aesthetics, but that people found resting their bare feet on the comfortable fabric theraputic.
